**NASA Autocross** Program changes for 2012, New management, big new season

NASA’s Mid-Atlantic Autocross program is retooling for the new year. Most of the season details, and all event related concerns, will be handled by Nichole Smiraldo (Operations Director) and Zach Mickle (Event Director.) Zach and Nichole bring many years of road course and autocross event working and driving experience to the table and have always been a huge asset to our team. Their goal is to make things bigger and better, with a full season planned at several venues and a formal season championship. Please feel free to offer your support and share your suggestions; their contact info is at http://nasacross.get-fast.net/?page_id=18
Jon Felton will still be Director but in much more of a “behind the scenes” role. Jon recently started a full-time motorsports project and simply won’t have time to give this autocross program the attention it deserves for the next year- although you will still see him at every NASA-X he can attend, of course. Thanks for your patience as the details get ironed out, and please stay tuned for the 2012 schedule. Here’s to a great new season for all of us!

Yes! This means there will be at least 6. Hopefully 8 events next year. There will be a points paying championship, with an end of year awards banquet. We are committed to putting on a full season. Our requested dates have been submitted to the site managers. As soon as we hear back from them we will post up our schedule.
We also have an open line of communication where participants can give us feedback on how we can improve. http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/W9SM3WZ
So spread the word! Come join us for 2012.
