we got two at work finally, both sold just waiting on the owners to pick them up... the grey bottom just kills me, if it was all painted the color of the tank and upper i think i might like it more and the tail although freakin sick from the front/side looks soooo wide from the rear, and i didn't realize the ram air isn't actually functional, and i don't like the lack of a trunk, i also thought it felt heavy(duh, it is)... definetly wouldn't be my choice if i was in the market for a liter bike in 04', but i won't lie i was standing there like a dog waiting for its owner to pour a bowl of food when they were unloading it out of the truck

I personally think it's the perfect liter bike for the street................but I am biased; I just love Honda! I agree the grey should be painted. And the tank isn't really a tank. It's like plastic or something???? Fuel is lower for the centralized weight dealy Honda has going on. So no magnetic tank bags.
As for the storage? Try riding a bike with an undertail installed...............I have no storage!!!!!

my bike has an undertail and storage is plentiful
but i'd have to disagree with it being good for the street, no storage and little low end torque, on the track it might be my choice though... but for street i'd rather have the storage and low end power of my bike or the ZX10, i just feel like no matter what type of riding you would do with it theres a bike better suited to it than the CBR1k in every catagory

I think for me it's more than fact that it's a Honda than anything else. I'm on my fifth one and I've never had any problems. Even the CCT in my F4 is fine!!!!

yea i understand having brand loyalty... but thats amazing about your CCT, when i got my F3 it was shot, I in fact just had to order one for a customer's F4i not even 10 minutes ago
