92-95 Jdm Dohc Zc
I have a 96 coupe and I was thinking about putting in a ZC engine. I kno the mounts will drop in fine, and I kno I will need an obd1 conversion (which I already have). Does anyone kno wut else I will need 2 do to make this a sucsessful swap? I think I might need to use older integra axles/intershaft but I'm not sure. ANY HELP IS APPRECIATED!

there isnt a 92-95 ZC...there would be no point to put the real ZC in your car because the SOHC vtec engine makes more than the DOHC ZC. The ZC is obd0 and a pain in the ass to convert to, especially if your OBD2.

Re: 92-95 Jdm Dohc Zc
They make 92-95 zc's...... These are obd1. I have already converted my car to obd1 so that's not a prob. And the dohc zc makes around 135-140 hp, which is over 10 hp more than the sohc vtec motor. Another plus for the zc is that their stock internals can handle 300 hp and they take very very well to boost. The reason I want this swap is because I have damaged my motor and I can get thie zc motor from my friend for an awesome price.

hmotors:
30018 - 88-91 SOHC ZC longblock
120Hp 100Trq 9.1 compression (JDM)
$ 390.00 Plus shipping and handling
30019 - D15B SOHC VTEC Longblock
130Hp 92-95 Civic VTi (JDM)
$ 435.00 Plus shipping and handling.
30020 - ZC 88-91 (Civic) DOHC Long Block
129Hp 106Trq 9.6 Compression(JDM)
$ 525.00 Plus shipping and handling
you might be confusing the D15b SOHC VTEC with the ZC because alot of people call it the ZC, even though its really not. a common misconception.

88-91 zc is obd-0 and the 92 zc is obd-1 they stopped making them in 92 though.Nippon motors does carry the obd-1 version but they rarely have it in stock.

Re: 92-95 Jdm Dohc Zc
Well now that we have established the fact that there is an obd1 zc (which I already knew)... back 2 my original question. If I have an obd1 conversion done to my car, the swap should be fairly simple right?? I have heard that I'll need to hybrid my axels/intershaft tho.......... Does anyone kno about this at all?
