this is why i did better than normal at the last event. i have no tread! notice how it's worn in the middle of the tire. i was definitely getting some crazy traction. keep in mind i've had these tires since august. i have a question for you seasoned vetrans..... is it normal/good to wear in the middle of the tire? i think that would seem right, b/c w/ turning left and right, sometimes one side is not on the ground, but the center is always on the ground.

i run 36-38 psi on the street. i run the tires at about the same rate also, hehe, j/k. as for my struts, i have koni yellows. i don't have the nuespeed short shafted ones up front, but i'll get those later. i'm not really worried about shock travel. if i handle worse on the street and/or the next race, then i'll raise it back up.
as far as over inflating, i run it high at autox b/c it's a cold tire. i very experienced racer, greg smith told me to try it and it was great. if i run anything anything less (while it's cold) i run over the sidewall.

This is even true for street tires since I have run on near bald tires on the street in the past (just being lazy I guess ) and I noticed a huge performance drop.
