Well, it looks as though project WRX may have come to an end. No, it didnt go out in a blaze of glory of rod bursting fury, instead,the past 2 or 3 days, the motor has been having misfiring fits and spewing oil into the crankase, never a good sign. Was getting some massive blow by, and a compression test today confirmed the news; 160-160-160-88. The motor has consumed enough oil as to where the dipstick can no longer pick any up. Essentially, the motor is on its way out. Seeing as all my funds went into the new gearset and the recent dyno tune (only a few weeks ago), I can not afford a new motor, and will not be able to for quite some time, as I am still paying off the gearset. I am still up in the air of what I am going to be doing, but it is not looking good for continuing on the WRX build. Whats to come next? Perhaps an evo?
