My roomate just rebuilt his CA. Before the rebuild he made over 300whp, with a blown headgasket blah blah... anyways the new setup should be pretty nasty.

Goodluck with yours!

Here's a pic of his old set-up.

That's ignorant... it's a great platform, and very underated. The olnly real downside is that it's an older motor, which just means, you'd be wise to replace normal maientience stuff on it like water pump, timing belt, front and rear main seals, etc... before puttin git in your car. Iron block is whats up

Chris I was joking I have a 1.8L...though I was curious why he picked it over a sr20. I guess if you really want an iron block. What's the weight difference?

Nill... I'd love to have a CA they are cool motors, and if built right can rev pretty high... or at least higher than a SR more safely. I can guess one major reaon he picked it over the SR is price. SR's are stupid expensive right now, while CA's can be picked up for about 1k for a complete swap.

i picked this motor because i got it and extra stuff as a trade for my busted old hatch. the kid who was trying to do the swap ran out of money and didnt have a car. i also got a 3in ss dump pipe, downpipe and test pipe with the motor all new meagan stuff. i like this motor also because it is light and strong. if i bust my tranny i can just use a ka tranny on the ca bellhousing and it isnt so popular so parts are cheaper and more availible in the us because a variation of the ca was used usdm nissans. i want to compleatly rebuild it and make a safe 240to270 hp.
