exactly what eclipz said. if you take care of it, it's fine.
most people dont though, so it's their own fault.

Just keep good changed oil in it!!! the only things I have seen go wrong is head cracks and blown head gaskets because of not taking care of the engine.. just like any other engine.. take care of it, it will last

Default hee

i have two that i work on. one i'm rebuilding for hopefully 450 hp.
both have 170,000+ miles on it the internals on the one thats being rebuilt look GREAT only things that look to take alot of wear are the rod bearings. besides that we coulda left the motor in there and ran it hard and got abouther 40k out of it maybe less. both motors were raced in their life too. one had a 3inch DP/race pipe and intake. other had a intake intercooler piping/bov boost controller. the key to life is proper cool down and oil changes. oh yeah both had stock turbos. ONE just started to show some wear the other still looks good and is going in a civic. 2g 4g63s not bad. i'll post some pics some time.

just get a turbo timer.. some make your car run for however long it takes cause it sees if you drove your car hard or normal. on the bottom of the sun visor it says let the car idle for 2 minutes before cutting it off.
