944 help, anyone experienced with them?
I'm having some issues with my car and dont know too much about these european cars. Is there someone knowledgeable about these bad boys that can help me out?
My problem: Car has been runnign fine all day, now it wont start. It tries but just wont turn over.

does it crank? and if it does...check ur ground strap more than likely it's all rusted and crap...replace it with a silver one w/ some gold terminals...early 944s are prone to this problem...i've had two, an '85 944 and i have a '86 944 Turbo, PM me if u have any other problems

if i turn the key it will try and try to turn over but it wont catch. It started once and then died shortly there after, I tried again and it ran long enohg to get me from norfolk to Jefferson ave in hampton and then it died.
I still ahd full electricity but just lost engine power. I will check the groud thing though. That makes alot of sense.

Put a DME and fuel pump relay in it and work from there. I had a 944 cabrio with somewhat the same symptoms that ended up being the alarm brain/module in the pass kick panel(water was leaking from the firewall into the module, intermittenly filling it with water and shorting). Good luck with it.
