Exclamation need some advice???????????????b16???

I am going to be putting a new engine in my civic but wanted to know what oter people thought frist,would it be better to buy a jdm b16 or to build my own i have the egine block sitting in my room and about have to money to do one or the other but wouldnt mind saving a couple bucks so i would like to get some out side oppinons on this before i went made a choice.

1. Never put that many question marks in a row ever again. One at a time.
2. Use periods more frequently, however still only use one at a time.

That being said, it would be better to build an engine since it'll be new, have stonger internals, and you'll have a better understanding of how an engine works after seeing everything go together.

I agree. Build your engine, not only will you have a greater understanding of how the engine performs internally, but you can build it to whatever specs you desire & you will appreciate it more if you do it yourself. Just make sure you do all of your research before hand; that includes making sure everything is compatible (don't want a piston to eat a valve), and knowing exactly what needs to be done before you begin.

yea you can do so many things with b series blocks, it would be stupid not to build it.... i dont know about with b series blocks, but i know with h series blocks in essence they are the same thing, the difference in the h22 and the h23 is the longer stroke in the h23 thus making it .1 liters larger....maybe u could so something like use type r internals along with a type R head...or maybe that is physically not a possible thing to do, i dunno, but build it anyway
