ok fine grit as in like what??? like 80 or what....i looked on the back of the spray can iand it said use 50?? thats too rough i thought...yeah my rims are fucked now shit

what paint did you use? i have same rims and i thought yours looked really good. im not sure if i want to use gloss or matte finish though.

this is what im doing at the moment.... i sanded.....cleaned....dryed....cleaned.....dryed.. ... primered.....?? now after the first coat of primer do i sand it down a lil bit and do a 2nd coat of primer or do i just go straight to the coats of flat black??? help me out asap....my rims are drying i want to get them done asap....and nother question.....im trying to get the flat black look.....if i clear coat them will that make them shiny or what?? i dont want all the paint to fall off or get mad nicks and scratches in liek a week so what help this problem too please?? thankx in advance??

the clear coat will give it a gloss finish. if you dont want that look then do not use the clear coat. i would just lightly sand the first layer of primer and respray. then hit them with the color you wish.

I just used Dupont paint that I got from Wal-Mart. It's the flat black finish and I put 4 coats on it. I put 2 coats of primer and I scratched it up really good. The key is prepping or the paint wont stick. These wheels are about to go through their 4th NOVA winter and the only reason they have chips is when the tires get replaced.
