hahahahhahahah

srt-10 being a low 13 second car. riiiiight.

ive driven the shit out of an srt-10. i know quickysrt has as well. they are NOT low 13 second cars. it takes a driver to put them where they deserve to be in the 1/4, just like any other car. i suppose since youve heard of a few 03+ cobras hitting high 13s that they are now all high 13 second cars too huh? hahaha right.

And if you want to read those completly inaccurate magazines, you will find the 2004 srt-10 rated at 0-100mph just under 13 seconds.

Well then I hope you never chose to take up the sport of drag racing.
If I had $80,000 to throw around, I'd much rather have a $4,000 CRX that runs 11.80 on a stock 4-cyl than a 500hp car that wouldn't find traction until that crx has about a 2 second lead and pulling strong. And I'd still be walking away with $76,000 in the bank. Some of us like to build what we run, not buy it built for us.

If you are talking about just your every day car you drive to work, then I would pick the viper too. I think it's a beautiful car, and have always thought so.
Wait a minute, so you think a viper is a 13 second car? AND you think that a CRX, with THE ABSOLUTE WORST DRIVETRAIN PLATFORM EVER is going to catch more traction than a viper, with fat rear tires and great weight distribution? Get fucking real. Your shit would get worked by a viper all fucking day long.

hey stud dont be jealous....its been done. just go to the vca forum and their are at least 3 guys that have done it. keep in mind that when the magazine tests the times they whip the car due to it not bieng theirs...so of course the owners might not get a fast a time. also keep in mind that your 4banger will need to run some serious power in order to break into the 11's or 10's on street tires. both my v10's can do it on factory rubber.

oh another thing the way brian is going about 11's is the best way. keep in mind that his vette will be an 11second car on the street also(great 4 street racing also). while the crx would only hit that time on the track with slicks.

look at the july sport compact car issue.....oh beware of the mighty "super civic" its named "then red devil" made by hasport. this car has almost 500hp and almost 400tq and still gets a 13second 1/4mile, 0-60 in 5.3 seconds. pitifull and shityfull. they try to make an excuse that "with slicks it will be really fast" sure on the drag strip, not practical as a street racer though.

my 5,200pound truck gets 0-60 in 4.8 seconds and the best stock 1/4 mile has been high 12's by a vca member(no spare tire though). i wont even mention the viper.

i use to have a turbo 4banger and i didnt go around starting crap. stay in your place.

I set a new personal best 12.156 @ 116.78

60' 1.905
330 5.456
1/8 7.932
MPH 92.49
1000 10.221
1/4 12.156
MPH 116.78

I was running on Kumho Ecsta MX steret tires (my VIR rear wheels/tires) @ 25 psi rear and 40 psi front. Did a burnout until I could see smoke then launched anywhere from 2500 to 3000 rpms w/ a little clutch slip and a semi-granny shift into 2nd gear to prevent excess wheel hop.

My most fun race of the night was against a pullied down '03 cobra. I've met the guy a few tiems before at the strip, but he was alway stock and running low 13's. I asked him if he'd finally gotten smart and pullied the car. He had and was maknig 450 at the wheels and running on DR's. I can't find the time slip... shit.

oh well, I tree'd him w/ a .052 rt to his .1xx but he ran a 1.90 60' to my 1.97 so we were dead even. Then we were basicaly side by side screamin' the whole way down the track, we kept on looking over at each other, dead even. I pulled about 1/2 a car by the end and won the race. It was a 12.25 @ 116.xx to his 12.31 @ 114.xx. He loved it... said it was the best drag he'd had and was going home.
dont feel bad. my quest for 12's was a resounding failure.

I sooo hope that you are joking. I mean.... you can't be serious can you?
