Nothing happens, you just pay the fine and court costs and go on about your business, even if it's reckless. People miss their court date all the time. Now if you don't pay, you might be considered a moron.

wrong...if its reckless driving the judge WILL issue a Bench Warrant. Expect a deputy to show up at your house a few days from now with handcuffs...FFX county ain't messin around no more

Well, I recieved a ticket for reckless speeding 20 over, 75 in 55 zone on Rt66. I missed my court date, was found guilty, paid the next day. And I'm still free as a bird. This happened a year ago. So I don't know WTF you all are talking about.

There are different types of Reckless Driving. Each type comes with a different penalty. Doing 75 in a 55 is considered Improper Driving, not Reckless Driving...unless the officer writes you up for Reckless Driving: Failure to Maintain Control of Vehicle. Improper Driving is an infraction, so if you miss your court date you most likely won't have a bench warrant issued (check with an attorney on that one though; one thing for sure though is that you missing court shows a lack of respect towards the courts and the judge is more likely to toss the book at you for the lack of respect).
Reckless Driving by Speeding in Excess of 80 MPH is a misdemeanor...different from an infraction...in that a jail sentence is very possible depending on the severity of the crime.
