1. Whats the fastest you've gone on your bike?

2. How long can you redline when topping out your bike (what's safe)?

3. Does it sound right to be able to go 165 without feeling some sort of shake in the handles without a steering damper?

 

I dont know how fast we were going but I was right behide you. Thats the fastest I been.

I was at an indicated 168mph the other day on the interstate, but had to give up do to all the traffic that i was coming up on...........FAST!

 

Hate to say it......154mph indicated on the JRB (bike was very smooth and stable).....late at night no traffic. Not very responsible of me......

 

Not at all. I did 126mph in my car and thought I was going to die on that bridge, lol.

 

well the day in the parkway you were going what 157 or something like that I would say I was going 140+ But then again I wasnt paying no mind to the MPH.

 

184mph gps confirmed. Also you probly aren't doing 165mph, bike speedo's are notoriously off and it gets worse as the speeds increase.

 

I agree......99 R6 prob tops out 155mph actual ?......my 04' 600RR will prob only do a couple miles per hour more than that.....depends on gearing also. I dropped my front sprocket -1 to give better low end acceleration but I end up losing top end. Prob' a good thing

 

I know, thats why i said indicated in my later post. How far off do they tend to be? I was always under the impression they are only of by 10-12mph?

And no one has yet to answer my redline question......

 

My brother's 01 zx6r indicated 170mph but gps said 150mph. Just to give you an idea as bikes vary. I personally don't like sitting at redline for extended periods of time. I get that feeling that somethin's gonna blow. That's why I didnt go faster than 184mph.
