i love being able to hook lefty or righty. makes getting that 10 so much easier.

 

I actually tried practicing left handed just to see if I could do it. Half way thru a long grueling tournament you could switch to your left while everyone was slowly geting worn out. Or when you have someone bowling an identical line as you and the lane starts to break down (dry up or carry down) you could switch up for an advantage. Wasn't to sucessfull. I was able to maintain about a 160ish average but I just could not get over the muscle memory of starting off on the opposite foot and keeping a solid balanced stance at the line.

 

It is was legal to bowl with either hand I would try to get better at it but since any ABC tournament or league's do not allow it it's to much work.

 

if anyone is interested, our team captian threw a little pissy fit so we need a 4th member.. thursday nights.. 9 to about midnight.. western branch lanes.. if interested, lemme know.. i live in va beach so i could give you a ride...

its illegal to bowl with both hands in tounry/league play.. you cant even switch from 1 week to the next..

 

how much is it weekly?

 

its like $50 bucks to the league amd AMF the first time, then its 13 bucks a week.. depending on our placing, we are sitting in 4th right now, with a legit chance to get as high as second, payout will be anywhere from 75-100 bucks a person, then the strike it right tourny at the end of the year.. i think we took home about 130 a peice for finishing last, on the second day.. i think we finished 14th out of 32 teams in the lower bracket.. if we get into the top bracket, which we have a very good possibility of doing, finishing 32nd pays more then finishing 1st in the 2nd bracket..
