With the drive for thanksgiving break coming up it is very serious that I am absolutely sure it isn't leaking. I'd definately love any help you guys could give me.

im not sure what to say chris....

if u say ur boot isnt leaking then it should be okay. also..if u dont hear the clicking sound...then ur in the clear. just wipe all that excess grease off and drive around...see if it reapears.

just a note: my dad used a type of grease that looks the EXACT same as the color in the picture. he used it for the door hinges on his old car (88 buick). the last time i saw it...was 2000, and after 12 years it was the same color and hardly any debris was on it. so it could be from the install when u had it replaced 1 year ago..and it was just left over or a leak could have been there for about a year and u could just have just overlooked it.

sorry if im not much help..but i sure do hope u find out

looks like the cv boot isn't really tight on one side and sprayed you. i have seen some old transmissions with that sort of stuff in them, but i doubt that is the case. just drive it untill it clicks. if you bought the advance auto axles, this what you get. oem or go home. but at least they have a lifetime warrenty...

Yea bite me Brian.

It's a OEM replacement axle. The clamps appear to be tight, and I dont see a single tear in the boot at all. I dont want to wait to hear a click Dan, as that is a very bad sign, and if you can help it you should repair it before clicking begins. However I did wipe some of the grease off, and am going to wait to see it it reappears. If it does I have a feeling it's just the clamp since the boot appears to be in perfect shape.

yeah...i would say..just clean it up and drive around
and see if it's there again...
axle won't go bad that fast..
my friend had 95 maxima, and he drove it around with bad
cv boot and no grease in it.
i was just checking his car and found that cv boot was torn.
but the axle was ok...even tho there was no grease at all...
maybe he was lucky...

yea..just clean it up and drive around for couple of miles...

shutup chris, at least your car doesn't need AAA to move, like mine does. maybe i should just start modding the flatbed?

good luck with the problem man, i think you'll be fine, jsut pay attention to how the car rides.
