go sit on both bikes and see what you think. I would go with the gixxer and use that $500 on a bolt/slip on, frame sliders, gears.......

I've looked for a used one but people are asking too much for them so might as well get a new. At least the new ones got warranty... Well GSXR600 is about $500 cheaper!!!

talk them down. You can get a lightly used 600 gixxer or r6 for less than $4.5k. If you absolutely have to get new then get some good frame sliders for it because a couple of scrapes and that $8-9k bike will be worth $6k right away

Another question though, the dealer is trying to charge me assembly fee ($600+) of the bike. Is this right???

nope its a scam and a bs tactic. Same with document processing fee. Which dealership?

BTW there's always a ton of used bikes for cheap here and has been one of the best places to find cool stuff

you may have to do a daytrip to go pick it up but there's tons of 600's for about the best prices around. Try there before you buy new because I've seen several r6's and gixxers that were a couple of years old go for $4k.
