Went to Radford (motor mile speedway)
Well guys I went to the motor mile speedway last week (thursday). I was pretty impressed. I understand what some of you were talking about, about the water box it wasent that bad though they did not put much water down.
I cut and 8.856 at 83 mph with a 60ft of 2.2 on a set of hard ass kuhmo's, but i did fairly well launching without rolling in smoke. I give the track a
all of the guys there were super nice that were working the track. But i rolled this kid in a trans am fire hawk which was really funny. all of his freinds were laughing when i pulled up to the light with him. but all was quiet after i cut that 8.8 and beat him he ran a 9.1. but my suggestion would be if they went back to test and tune on friday nights, that would be my choice for a 8th anytime. Oh yeah before i jet where could I order a set of slicks for my oe wheels that would fit. I know mooopar had some at one time but he sold them the day i seen him at the the track. Im just now realizing slicks=really awsome whole shot lol but i was just wondering where to get them. if you guys could point me in the right direction i would be very thankful

likin the eyebrows..
You will have to run 23.5 or less to fit with the stock struts. Kosei K1s with a 1/2" spacer will clear the struts with a 6" wide slick. It will be hard if not impossible to find 17" slicks. I had to get 15" wheels to fit the slicks I have now, but I also have the S3 coliovers. Smallest wheel that will fit over the caliper is 15, but not all 15s. I'm using 15" Mopar neon accesory wheels and they clear by 1/8".

EDIT: its GaRn, damn you Barry! ha..
Those numbers are pretty good judging from what most people have said about the track. My Thursday nights just got freed up, so hopefully I can make it up there soon.

I'm going to try to start going to the track more often now that I've got the LSD and 3.94.. I'm going to try to find some smaller wheels that will fit over my brakes and get some sticky drag radials for them. I just need to eliminate wheel hop; Ordering new dog bone mounts ASAP to get rid of that! My car likes to spin through 2nd gear from a roll now and sometimes I lose traction temporarily going into third gear. It's not ungodly fast by any means; Still stock turbo... but minor tuning and software made a HELL of a difference.
BTW, do they give timeslips there? Most of the 1/8th mile tracks I've been to didn't print out timeslips for some reason or another, but IIRC, Natural Bridge does.
