Default Motorcycle training.

I did a search and found the two classes (locally 757) for basic cycle training, TNCC and TCC, however both are booked until september at the earliest. Now my question is, is there anyway to get training earlier? Any small local dealerships offer it or anything? I'm just another newbie and am to impatient to wait to the end of summer to learn and ride. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

also you can usually call in and see if they have any cancellations or openings...i know you can do that in NoVa, at NVCC, so you can probably do it down there too.

paying and getting a date and then going in on standby on fridays is the way to go. You can also call every week around wednesday or thursday to see if there are any cancellations. Some guy wrecked his bike and couldn't make it to the class so when I called up I took his spot and was able to take the class that weekend

Also, how do you go about getting a permit first? How do permits work anyway? Does someone have to ride with you that is licensed?
