The T04B is a touchy turbo though.. the high effenciency and surge limit are right next door to each other... a t3 is a good base to start with.. I dont see the turbo as being your bottleneck anytime soon if this is goin on a sr20... but a hybrid T04E .50/ Stage III (bigger wheel) t3 .63 will give you a monster.. it has a HUGE F'ing sweet spot.. anywhere to 15psi is okay.. then from 15 - 32 or 28 cant remmeber is f'ing weak...
2.3 SOHC stock engine, stock .60/.63 t3 seeing 15psi un intercooled does fine for me.. but you have double the valves.. probably a lot better flow so you want need as much boost to see the same hp numbers..

i am buying the det but im subbin out the t25 turbo for the t3

The T3 isnt to efficient of a turbo. Did you look at a T28 if you want a little more power then the T25? Or maybe a T3/TO4E 50 trim? Or if you have the big bucks, a sweet dual ball bearing turbo. So many sweet turbo's to look at...
