do you already have services with Nextel or Sprint?

 

This is a little off topic, but do you know when the new sanyo mm-9000 is coming out? Its the phone that is suppose to replace the MM-5600. I am waiting to switch to sprint when it comes out. I am also employed with Northrop Grumman.
I guess I can get a discount on the phone and on the service plan ?

 

i know more about the Nextel side of things because we were a Nextel store pre merger so I can tell you when most nextel phones come out but we dont hear too much about sprint phones till there out. Ill have your discount tommrow night.

 

Its funny you said something about Nextel. I have just recently started looking at there newest fun. Its the i930. I have a couple of questions about this phone.
Does it have picture caller id ? Does it support bluetooth (I know it doesnt have it on the phone but I understand that you can buy a SIM card to run it). Does it support voice recognition ( meaning can I just say the name of the person I want to call)? My last question is can I get on aol IM or yahoo IM with the phone ?

(1) yes to picture caller id
(2) 2 options....1. is a sd card that will enable the phone to be bluetooth or 2.an adapter that plugs into the headset and makes the phone bluetooth. Advantage of the SD card is its internal, Disadvantage is that you cant save pictues, etc so a SD card b/c the slot is take. Advantage of the headset adapter is the SD card slot is free, Disadvantage is that its external and hangs or has to be attaced to the phones back door.
(3) yes to voice recognition

Wahts the story on the sprint business plan. I need a phone soon that has free incoming long distance and local. And just charges for out going. Is there a plan like this?

yes i was with sprint for two years then i just recently two months ago switched to nextel(dont know if that was a good choice since my service blows compared to my last phone but) yeah so i need to contact customer service and just tell them i work for the city of hampton ?

 

(URL wouldnt work) go to sprint.com.....click on Products and Services under personal...then click plans under Nextel...the free incoming included local and long distance minutes to talk and unlimited local/long distance direct connect. The minutes you get (300,500,etc) are for out going calls and any incoming call is free regardless if its from Nextel, Sprint, land line, different carries, etc. PM me for anything else.
