Re: Vortec Super Charger vs. turbo charger
Yeah I wanted to know realiabilty...I mean nothing is better then a stock engine on reliability once you started adding the power then there are more things to go wrong. Looking at Vortech versuses like for instant a fmax turbo kit which retails on average $3100 the vortech average $4000 for the whole kit with cooler so yeah the turbo is cheaper you get a lot of things and it comes ready to bolt on with the factory set boost(which is ok in my book for now cause I will upgrade to hondata and more boost later on) but against each other coming factory on a factory low mileage engine I wonder which one will last longer. I have heard that supercharges aren't as hard on the engines, but I am like a lot fo you guys and girls on here I am pulling for the turbo kit I was just clearing up and doubts before I went and bought one.....want to make the right choice if I throw out the much dough.

Re: Vortec Super Charger vs. turbo charger
The only reason superchargers would not be as hard on the engine is if it didn't make as much power as whatever turbo setup they were comparing it to. Power is power, the more you make the higher your rate of bearing wear, etc.
