Default ford explorer idle question

i have a 2000 ford explorer with really low miles and now that its getting cold outside when i first start it up in the morning it has the worlds shittiest idle ever. the thing will rev up to a little over 1k then drop down to like 200 and bounce around then die. if you dont keep your foot on it it'll die. it takes about 5 minutes of this before it settles out and runs fine. anyone have any input on this?

Yeah i just worked on a ford f-150 and it would only idle with your foot on the gas. We took the iac off, sprayed carb cleaner in each port and it runs fine now.

THe IACV bypasses the throttle body, it should be right in that area.
