any KA from a 240 will drop in and bolt up. wiring changes if you do a 91-94 involve matching colors on the plug behind the glove compartment for the cluster to work. A ka from a S14 requires extensive (more than an sr swap) wiring changes.

You CAN get an s14 motor, S13 ecu, wiring harness, mafs, coil and make the 14 motor run on 13 DOHC electronics.

I did the opposite on one of my S14's a while back. I put a 13 motor in the car, put on a 14 intake manifold and ran it like that.

Then you gotta worry about power steering. Get all the lines to and from the rack from any 240 91 and up.

i know you dont deal with pricing much on parts but do you have a ball park on a 91-94 dohc motor/tranny if ordered installed by you guys? or at the very least, the motor/tranny? or should i by it from a forum from another 240 guy? would it better to rebuild/fix what i have in now? or should i call up there for this info. im looking for alternatives to the sr for now, but still make it a fun/reliable little car. (baby comming cant dump crazy cash in sr just yet)

thanks greaser

unfortunately i havent memorized the r&r costs we charge.

if you can find a motor from another individual thats in good condition go for it. The problem is we cant warranty any parts supplied by our customers. If we find the motor and its a bum motor then you see no impact other than the time to source a new motor and reinstall.

i wouldnt rebuild anything unless theres a problem occuring. Is there anything wrong?

i'd keep it sohc, check condition of the cooling system and ensure its up to par and fix the tranny if you think its going and or has problems now.

itd be more of a hassle to source everything for the swap than to jus fix your issue.
