if you had a built 306 cubic inch longblock(from DSS racing, they make 306's,instead of 302's)...and lets say...you had the option of buying a Turbo kit for it..or a Procharger kit (the procharger kit is cheaper)...and your goal was 550 Rwhp....which route would you go??

this is all hypothetically speaking of course.

Turbo, come on now. Everyone runs around with a S/C strapped to a Mustang now days. Go different, and in my opinion go better with turbo.

hahaha,i knew someone was going to say that...im aware that everyone runs superchargers, and im kind of biased on using one to make my power..but let me ask you this, what do you call all the honda guys running turbochargers? cus i ran one on my integra...sure it was fast..but theres other ways of making power.

i do agree with you there.

i forgot what website i was looking at..but there was a kit (i think it was CarTech) that they put on a BONE STOCK (no mods what so ever) 1990 mustang GT...and it made 397 rwhp, and 490 lbs ft of torque.............................on 10 psi.

Is that a .030-bored 302? Just asking because I've never heard of that displacement (and I am not a Mustang-guy).

If you want cheap 500 rwhp, you're best bet is a blower. A turbo requires fabrication and such.

sorry about that :

lets also say the built longblock is coming from DSS racing, which makes 306,331,347,351,etc cubic inch motors.

also,as far as fabrication goes..the kit has a money back guarantee that there is no fabrication necessary, its a complete bolt on kit...minus fuel management, and a tapped oil pan.

Turbo. I have a 306 waiting to go together, and if was to do one, turbo. Less stress on the engine.

Turbo. And you can mount it under the car, and be cool. JK.
The kit your looking at, does it go in the engine bay, or under the car?

engine bay. fuck having a rear mount setup..its not that important to me,to hide it,or why ever they designed it. id rather do my maintence when i pop the hood..instead of jacking the back of the car up.
