Default New paint sample-interesting look-think i'm going to do

the car in this.

This is the new jet black (the same jet black thats already been done in my engine bay) w/ 4 light coats of blue pearl over it. He's giving me a sample tomorrow of the jet black w/ only 2 coats so i can compare - but this shit looks awesome - very cool black/blue look. Very similiar to the photoshop Dlee did a few months back (but only at the right angle)

anyway - here's the sample:

My thought is this - when he tests it on 1 of my nose panels and if it comes out looking as good then i can get the best of both worlds finally.. Still maintain a very nice black look but also have a very eye catching twist on it for shows.

Oh and for those that dont know - this would go very well w/ the rest of the blue throughout my car and engine bay!

i know :happysad:

if i wasnt into shows i'd be 100% for the jetblack, but since i go to shows and am getting magazine coverage the blue hue'd jetblack might be better - decisions decisions!

wagz,

do it.

the reason is simple. it looks good. you are getting the "dual" effect of BLACKNESS and the super cool pearl.

my car has a pearl white "premium white" oem paint and is def. hotter than plain white color.

i say this again.

DO IT!

Wagz, my friend has that on his car, except his is alot bluer, i think they put 6 coats, it gives it the kamelon look (or however you spell it) but i like that sample alot, cause at certain angles it will look like it is soaked in blue, its nice....i would do it

You are just like a woman wagz, you can never make up your mind. I bet it takes you 2 hours in the morning to get dressed

I'm sure it'll look good, and if you have him just shoot one panel to test it out, obviously youll get to see it and then not dig yourself too deep if it doesnt turn out perfect.

hehehe

1st of - i rarely if ever get up in the "morning"
2ndly - i wear champ shorts & t-shirts 99% of the time - 30 seconds to get dressed.

hehe lol

ya - i always wanted the blue haze over the black but he was never able to get me a good sample - each time all he came out w/ was a dulled black - now he has it figured out.

I go pick up the nose panel today to see how the 2 layer test went w/ the clear and all!!
