Good luck with the swap!
This is a solid rear axle? If so go with the rx-7

Nah its independant. its an aluminum housing with a LSD, 8.8 gear's, the thunderchicken / cougar axles bolt right up to it. swap to those hubs, have the holes welded closed and redrilled for 4X100 and you got a SOLID rear end! the mounting brackets arent to hard to do either. i am looking now for pics of it i found.

Definitely saw that Miata at the meet at the gas station across from KD before Mega-Meet...all I had to say was WOW. I even joked with a friend of mine as the Miata was rolling in, I said "Hey, I bet that thing has an LS1 in it" and he laughed. The Miata parked beside us in my friends EVO and we all knew it didn't sound like a stock Miata, and when we finally talked to the guy he told us it had a 347 stroker under the hood..

It blew my mind...I bet that car hauls ASS...
