Tranny swap
Ok...
heres what you need:
5spd tranny w/ shift linkage
Clutch/flywheel w/ bolts
Hydrolic lines
5 spd brake/clutch assembly
Clutch master cylinder
Slave cylinder
5 spd starter
5 spd ECU (you can run with an auto ecu but you will have a CEL.)
Step 1: I would suggest you pull your motor out and hook up the new tranny with the motor out of the car... It will save you some skin when routing the hydrolic lines and free up a lot of space.
Step 2: Remove your brake pedal assembly and replace it with the new pedals.
Step 3: Install the clutch master cylinder and run the hydro lines on the firewall.
Step 4: Put the motor + new tranny in and reconnect (you will need to run some new wires for your reverse lights.)
Step 5: Replace the ECU (you can use the auto ecu but it will throw a CEL for the auto tranny.)
Step 6: Bleed your clutch
I don't want to write a full write up on this...
When I did this my first time, I didnt have any help and it wasn't that bad. Replacing the pedals was by far the worst part of the whole job. You will see why, you are laying in an akward position and it is a very tight fit...
One thing also, if you use the auto ECU make sure the car thinks its in park or the car will not start...

right on, thank you. i looked all over honda tech and saw no formal write ups. i Was thinking about getting the conversion mount kit from jdmshit, would that be worth it? I was planning on swapping the ecu anyways.
Oh thats right, I had to fab a custom mount adaptor plate when I did mine... I personally think that conversion mount is a waste of money. All you need is some flat steel, and some small diameter steel pipe. If you know how to weld it is easy. I might be able to sell you mine if my friend doesnt use it in his car. I would let it go for 20 bucks...

Yea. I didn't think it was going to take as long as it did, and I just wanted to get it done so I kept at it until it was finished.
I actually pulled the motor for a different reason (too much nitrous), but decided to convert it while it was already out, and I realized how difficult it would actually be to do this with the engine still in the car.
