if i were to buy a b16 head will my bearing caps and my cams work on the new head or are they machined to that specific head. some please let me know. thanks

What cam's are you referring to?

You cannot put non-vtec cams in a vtec head, nor can you put vtec cams in a non-vtec head.

Need more info...

If they are both vtec heads, there is a possibility that the cam caps will work. I have seen both happen; one time it worked, the other it didn't.

I was under the impression that cam caps are specifically align bored to each head. And on those cams, as long as you stick with the same series.

supposedly thats correct on the cam caps, BUUTTT, one time a cam cap broke on me, i took one off of another head that i had, and i never had a problem with it for the entire time i had the setup.so i guess its hit or miss.

thanks guys i had heard both things that they would work or not. yes they are both vetc heads and cams by the way. thanks again guys i guess ill just see if they work
