and i mean brother in the 2 wheel sense. Im looking for a GSX-R 1000. 01-02 MAYBE an 03 if its amazingly good looking. the NADA value on these is 6175 and KBB is 6828. so im looking to spend about 6300. i need to find a bike NOW so i can take out the loan (im already approved). so please, Help me find a GSXR1000. thanks guys.

both of those prices seem high to me, although i dont' really know what 1000's are going for now... but i sold my 03 in 04 for 7k, figure with another generation 1000 out and another two years added on to their age they would have dropped a bit lower

Yeah they should have, im wagering that they are starting out with a high price as advertised to 1. have a larger margin for haggling which they know they will have to do. and 2. Maybe get lucky if some noob is too careless with their money and in a hurry. Brett, do me a favor, let me know of any 1k's in your area :-D looking for a black one preferably.

lil higher than what you're talking about, but we have a 03 black/copper (canadian model, not a u.s. color) with an akropovic pipe at the shop, i think he wants 7k for it. it's spotless.

wow never seen em side by side liek that before torrey. thanks, i think i def want a 01-02. they 03+ just look so tiny in comparison. almost look as small as the R1's. PLEASE keep em comin' guys, need to do somethin this week.
