Bike alarm installers?
Does any one know of a good place in the 757 that can install a bike alarm and not try and rape me in installation fees? I am going to check around as soon as my bike get here. I wonder if Best Buy does it?
Thanks for any info you can provide!

Re: Bike alarm installers?
best buy does not do alarm installs on bikes, but there are a few people at local Best Buy's that would be more than willing to give you a hand, if you're looking for someone to help/put it in completely...... pm me if youd like more info

Re: Bike alarm installers?
most of them are plug and play or really simple and shouldn't take that long to do with simple tools and the instructions. They're a decent deterrent but only part of the "not getting your bike jacked" equation. If your bike is stored outside at an apartment or house its unfortunately only a matter of time till it gets stolen around here
hit up steve (skroozloose) and his shop has the best labor rate around.

Re: Bike alarm installers?
i also used to install stereos and alrms for a living...
what kind of alarm is it?
if you're wanting remote start and all that crap, don't bring it to me, i don't need the liability. i have a friend that manages a discount auto sound, i can talk to him about it. he's done custom alarm installs for us in the past.

Re: Bike alarm installers?
just from my experience on dealing with alarms that have all sorts of goodies.......example: kill switch, remote start. it is just something else that will end up gettin messed up and more to worry about. now i am talking about car experience here but its all the same cup of tea really. if u want to get a alarm, trust me get the most basic alarm u can get. the more goodies it comes wif, the more headaches u get later

the more non-factory electrical crap you put on the bike, the more likely you are to have problems down the road. especially on fuel injected bikes. alot of those sensors are very sensitive about proper voltage.
