Ride in a high gear it will drop the note but if you have a painfully obvious aftermarket muffler that won't matter. Or......ride with a silencer if you have a coffee can exhaust, but chances are the officer doesn't know what that is and you'll be pulled by stereotype. This is the world we all live in and that's their job, they have bosses to satisfy; so when we push the limits, their bosses push them on us. It's all up to you on what side of the line you drive on, keep working on your car and keep being polite to the officers. They'll remember your car eventually and leave you alone, because they'll see you as one of the good guys. Though I think there are some that would disagree with me on that one.

I don't think cops like 94 civics, i got bitched at for my exhaust also, but i told him i'm from indiana (obviously beause i have a indiana plate) we don't have laws like that there how was i supposed to know. he just told me to leave the area. Yeah we don't do the emissions or exhaust noise thing there, i miss home.
