VTEC-E to VTEC Conversion
A d16-GOd on honda-tech told me this
Spade (3:03 PM 5/12/2003): For wiring your going to need a 4 plug o2 sensor, and plug. Because the HX has a wideband O2 sensor. You can sell that thing for about $175. IM RSZero1, he just did a HX to EX swap. Only difference is he swapped the whole engine. Oh, you will need a knock sensor too. Check your engine to make sure you have one now.
I have no idea what any of tat means thougH??

for some odd reason i'm building a NA SOHC engine. dont ask why, just my cup of tea.
this just produces more power, and actually has aftermarket cams available.
THe only downside is that the VTEC-E has roller rockers and this doesn't

ah okay just somone who has a partial knowledge of hondese wondering. roller rockers are very good though. SOHC isn't gonna make as much power as DOHC but if you build it right you won't know the difference...
not exactly sure what the difference in power will be between the y5 (? i think thats the hx) and the y8, but i know when i had the head on my a6 it produce a hell of a lot more power, and ive got pictures, and a borken rod to prove it
yeah. the compression ratio wont skyrocket for you like it did for me. i went from like 9.2:1 to almost 11:1. big increase, but putting cars on GSR tegs is always nice for 300 bucks worth of work.
