019 - MAF check engine light? Of course it's related...

You swapped MAF's and it made no difference...but did you check the MAF wiring?

and I doubt it would be the O2 sensor.

try swapping maf's and resetting the ecu(unhook battery to lose the code), it almost seems like it would be a big part of the problem.

How many miles are on your cat? The cat was clogged on our Wrangler and did the same thing (the RPM would drop and stall and then be a bitch to start) while we were off roading. Nothing a BFH and railroad spike didn't fix.

ok, according to joey from south main, there's been some splicing of coolant wires or something like that. i forgot exactly what he said, but that's been rerouted and taken care of. he said the MAF wiring is prolly fucked up somewhere deeper than AT the MAF (which is where i checked the wires). supposedly the starting problem has been fixed, but i'm not sure. i gotta call them later and find out

nick, i have a spare MAF and swapped it. it didn't help at all.

weavil, um.. i assume my cat hasn't been swapped out, so 94k.

well i just got my car back. i must have gotten lucky (or cosmo must've put in a word for me. if you did thanks a bunch!), cuz joey worked on my car. overall, i'm happy with the job that was done. my car's back up and running well.

so yea. the problem was the coolant and temp sensor wires, along with an MAF wire. everything's all good now and i'm a happy camper

do they work on hondas? cuz i need to get this "Type R" sticker on correctly.
if u call up and ask for mike fox in service and tell him i sent you he'll have no problem talking w/ you - looking your car over for you (with you most times of course) and may not directly work on it but he oversee's all things there - he's the head mechanic for NRN
