i just got a aem cai for my car, and i was goin through takin all the stock parts off i finally go to fit my intake and i notice it doesnt fit through the hole...then i read the directions some more "oh yeah by the way, you will need to cut the intake hole in ur car bigger to fit the pipe through, well finally after bringing out the saw on it, i finally get it set in, but then the bolt doesnt align up with the bracket, so i ended up takin off this little black box and bolting it on there, i was just wondering if anyone else had to go through this? it really wasn't worth my time

sounds like you ahve it installed correctly, cut the hole bigger, then connect it like any other 12 year old could figure out.

what kind of intake, maybe that will help.

 

ueh I had the same problem with mine you do have to cut the hole out alot bigger. I also cut the litttle hanger off to. I BRAZILL!!!

 

i installed my friends aem cai on his 2001 lude and if i remember correctly, yes, a little black box had to come off

 

yeah on my crx the little black box had to come off its nothing special just gaydm

 

what did you do with the little box, just let it rest underneath the intake?

 

I just took all that stuff off I BRAZILL!!
