I pose a question for you guys/girls...
03-04 Cobra or 05-06 GTO.
The GTO is N/A and a little bit slower than the Cobra, but will run with a C5 all day long. The Cobra is cheap to mod due to being blown.
My brother has a 03 Cobra and it gets 13/24 and it's ported blower, full bolton, pullied. My cammed to all hell GTO gets 13/26.
But a stock or even bolton GTO can get 20/27. Plus it has as many toys as a C5 Vette.

I think there's more to being a luxury car than having leather and power options. Those are fairly standard now-a-days.

A hyundai doesn't have power telescoping wheel....lol....but yeah, to the other comment, corvette isn't as bad as people think on a road course...
That is an option on at least one the models

I'm not aware of many people who think its a bad car on a road course, why would it be?

^^^ I am not sure if he is refering to my comment or not - I fermly agree that the Corvette is a bad ass road car - that is what I am saying, you are picking the wrong thing to compare. Companies out there could give a fuck less about 1/4 times...especially the Vette designers - I mean yeah they put a 400+hp motor in a decently weighted car w/ some meety ass tires, but I can assure you they did all of that to dominate the real race track, same goes for comparable vehicles. I'm just saying comparing the Evo and Sti is more applicable to a road course rather than a 1/4 time.
It's cool - I am completely siding w/ you btw, lol...tell your friend to site down and seriously think about it - I mean there are plenty of better cars, but in for the price range you're talking about, and the features, AND the speed, a C5 is pretty much top of the line - excluding modified cars.
