fatboyee, 2 questions about your setup
1) why are you running an 8.8 ? If it does good for you that's cool, just wondering why you're not running a 9"
2) your lift is insane on your cam, what's the duration and lobe seperation if you remember ? I figured it would be more on the conservative side for nitrous

a 9" is for SERIOUS power makers. it's almost pointless on a street car of my caliber. kinda like puttin wheelie bars on a honda
and im not certain it's as high as .625, but i kno it's someone round that. i'll have to find the info card somewher to give you the total specs on the cam. and as far as conservative: NEVER lol.
nitrous makes a motor more efficient (ie: burns more fuel/OXYGEN), the longer i can hold the valves open and get more air in just before they slam shut the more use im making out of my available power.... or atleast that's how i see it?

sounds about right, I know there's a method behind the madness of using it . That's where a lot of people screw up, they forget to add more fuel. I wasn't thinking about that before I asked you that question about the cam.

For some reason, most everyone outside of the Ford-world thinks that the 9" is the best thing since sliced bread. Truth-be-told, it's overkill on anything less than a 1000hp dedicated drag car. The FFW & NMRA S/R guys are still running 8.8" rears and most of them are putting in the neighborhood of 750 - 800 hp to the rear wheels (that's ~ 900 - 1000hp at the flywheel for the math challenged) and running high 8's/low 9's with 60's in 1.3x territory. If he were to step up to a 9" rear at his power level, he'd run slower as the 9" is heavier both internally and externally, in turn, taking more power to rotate.

I want to see a car that actually runs that Diff made by some company called FabTech or something, they call it the Fab9. You have to know what I'm talking about........that thing is virtually indestructable
