just because your tach reads something doesnt make it accurate. The ecu itself is programmed for 7200rpm as people have said before. Unless there is a problem with your distributor wiring it will rev to 7200 when datalogging from the ecu..

Not directed at sohc4life...

a lot of people fail to grasp the concept that a stock ecu will set the rev limit at 7200 rpm. If you think your car rev's higher, either A the ecu is chipped with a higher rev limit, B there is a problem with the tach signal wire from the distributor, C there is a problem inside the distributor itself, or D there is a problem with the tach in your gauge cluster.

Period.

I dont think you realize how difficult it is to get a stock block SOHC coupe with full interior into the mid-low 13's. The highest all motor hp numbers I have seen from a sohc are just under 200whp, which is nowhere near enough to get low-mid 13's in a 2500lb coupe. If it were in something like a stripped ef hatch, or crx it would be a different story...

most 92-00 civic coupes weigh around 24-2600 lbs, and that's if it's an EX. 92-95 DX coupes are as light as 22-2300 lbs. I think you got your info a little twisted there bud. Only Honda cars I've seen over 3000 lbs are Preludes, Accords, and NSXs.
