I've been to between 15-20 different sushi houses in the 757. My favorite as far as quality and price is Sakura off of Independance. Next to Bike Zone.

Really? Hmmm, The BF and I must have went on a bad day. The place smelled like fish, which should have been our number one clue to not eat there. The sushi was very soggy and didn't taste good at all. We ended up not eating what we ordered. I wouldn't go there again.
Our favorite place to go in Nagoya's in Chesapeake. Their Super Duper Roll is fucking awesome.
I pretty much have only eaten at Sumos. They've got really good sushi. I've eaten at Katana in Ghent, wasn't too bad. Their sushi bar was *really* tiny though. I've heard good things about Volcano. I'll have to check them out sometime.

+1 for sumos. When Im not @ vcu I eat there at least two nights a week. I highly HIGHLY recommend this place. Joo & Jackie are sushi gods.
btw this place is located in the shopping center next to circuit city near town center in VB.
My friend's parents own that place. I love their sushi. Fuck Sakura... it's run by some chinese people. How are some chinese people going to make real Jap sushi?
LOL so true. Nothing in america taste like sushi my ancestors created. LOL wtf is "spicy roll".
hayashi in city center made me puke my guts out for 3 hours AND it was expensive
I didn't get sick, but I wouldn't go back. We sat forever to get seated because the hostess was too busy walking back and forth and sweeping nothing. The food wasn't that good either.
I like Sakura on rt. 17 in Yorktown and the one Reuter recommended. I've never been to any places on the southside.
