Does anyone race their Integra?
What yall are Crazy SpecFocus are the hottest thing now. The funnest cheap car ever. My daily is getting converted now for that reason. I used to run a Honda for 2 years. I swapped.
Your not going to get into the sport for let that 15k. Hate to tell you.
I used to run a CRX i know what you mean about being unstable at higher speeds. Over 85 it felt like a commercial jet taking off.
Then you wont get a penny back out of the car. I have 10k invested in my Turbo PGT. Its caged, fire sup, the works and hoping to sell it for 3k (not likely). It even has 18k original miles on it. Less than 100 miles on track. Still street legal sort of.
Oh if you have a wife she might leave you also. I had to tell mine the reason we can't buy a house is because i spend to much on my track cars.
Just a head up for those breaking into the sport.

How big is huge??? I cant find any results with spec focus on the NASA northern Cali, southern, Cali, or Arizona web sites. And I see no Spec Focus's on any of the NASA mid atlantic results. So is one car getting the class more popular.
2006 was the first year for spec focus I believe and there were atleast 4-5 cars at ohio. I believe ford is going to back the spec focus class for awhile so hopefully it will grow. There some spec focuses around the 4:22 mark in this footagehttp://video.google.com/videoplay?do...49339315&hl=en
I am going to use my svt focus to do some HPDE this year, but I'll see what kind of spec car I can afford when the time comes to race. I got an integra shell sitting around I can make use out of.

I'm not knocking the class but only 4 cars showed for Nationals in 2006 (which isnt bad if it really is its first year, but I thought it has been around for 3 or 4 years now). And only slightly faster than the HC H5 cars... That being said a H5/ITC car can be built/bought for $5000-$7000, and thats national winning. IMO if you have a shell laying around pick up a TypeR engine leave it stock and run H2 (new rule change for 07) If I were ever going to race thats what I would do with my car. Enginge and Tranny rebuilds would cost the same as an engine and tranny that is going to make the car even faster..... But for now I'll just hang on to my slow ass LS engine.
