Exactly what I've been telling you.... But like I said to you earlier, there's pros and cons to both of em....You know me, I prefer B-series, but not B16. Everyone and their grandma's have one. STAND OUT!!!!!!!! lol

But really, its up to you.........

H23 DOHC VTEC? Where'd you find one of those at? H23s are non VTEC bro.

:edit: I misread that. I thought you meant you found one...around here. I was gonna say no bro. But yeah the Euro SiR had an H23 VTEC I guess. I have nothing against an H series. I really think it's one of Honda's better motors. I just don't see you putin one in a 88-91. There's too much work involved.

Listen, there's a reason everyone drops B16s in 88-91 Civics. They work. Period. Plain and simple. You can buy everything you need to do the swap off the shelf and have it running the day you start doing it. I'm curious why you prefer the B series but not the B16??? The B16 has a shorter deck height meaning it fits a little better. It's got a far better rod ratio than a B18 meaning you can rev the ever living shit out of it. It's cheaper meaning you will have more money left over to start building it. Also, I believe all the B18Cs have hydro trannys meaning that you're gonna have to round up a cable B16 tranny anyway (I might be wrong about that one though). And to anybody that thinks you can't make power ina B16...Talk to Terry. He's made over 500 fwhp out of his. I know you don't intend on making anywhere near that but it just goes to show you, it can be done. So really, I can give you 100 reasons to swap a B16 over an H23.....how bout you give me just a couple reasons why an H23 would be better. Like I said at the beggining, there's a good reason that B16 swaps are the most popular.

The H23 Vtec came in the Accord SiR Wagon overseas. VERY nice engine. Kindda costly though. Just swap the H22 head on the H23 bottom end, best of both worlds.. Especially if you can put the oil squirters in it.

Honestly.. I have thought about doing an H-swap into a hatch, but I got the opportunity to drive one, and honestly I like the b-series better. It is a lot easier to drvie, you don't get quite the torque, but with the hatch being as light as it it wont matter, pluse I believe you can keep powersteering and possibly a/c with the b16, and with the H-swap you haev to give all of that up
