Default Tach For Lower Gear RPM's??

this may be a stupid ass question, but has anyone ever heard of a gauge that could for see what RPM you would be in a lower gear?? does that make any sense? meaning if ur in third gear at 4,000 RPM's.... is there a gauge that could predict what RPM u would be at in 2nd gear going the same speed? that would be an awsome ass feature i think.. maybe not.... i dunno. any thoughts?

I thought that would be relative to rev matching?

If you've tried that you would be able to figure out what RPMs you would be at in a lower or higher gear...mine i think from gear to gear is maybe a 1.5-2.5 change up or down

About the tach...i've never heard of one

Sounds like it'd be about a 3000RPM increase.

Drive the car and get to know what mph and rpm you are at in each gear.

yay, your using what i taught you and put it into relevance of some sort, although most of the times revmatching doesnt involve using the clutch, so if you do decide to try and revmatch on the upshift and down shift, be wary of your poor poor syncroes......

....hey..i'm gettin pretty smart about that car junk...
and i know about the syncros..i was just assuming that rev matching would help him determine the rpms he would be in on a down shift or up shift..

But i was thinking...he could rev match to find out what the rpms would be and then just clutch it when he was racing and know his safety area...just an idea
