Alright what's up? i was wondering what you all thought of the S-DMS on the new GSX-R1000?? and do you think there is any future for devices of this kind??

I think its a neat idea and glad to see it on production bikes. I haven't ridden one yet but the sales manager at the dealership I worked at got one and said its a huge difference between the different maps. I'm sure next year or two you will see everyone else have some version of this. If your a really good rider on the street it probably doesn't really matter, but if your not so confident and its raining or something then it might be beneficial to switch to the softer mapping. In racing where it came from it definetly has huge benefits. I bet within the next 5 years we will see true traction control on a production bike.
