well i'm assuming it's b/c the police aren't saying anything, but the chinese news is talking about it. so i don't know much more than what my parents told me.

education is very important in asian culture, and yeah the family name is important...but honestly i don't think nowadays its nearly as strict as it was years ago. if his parents really did do this...then they are weak and selfish b/c they have a daughter and they would just leave her all alone to deal with this???
