Angry engine siezed

well guys........looks like my turbo project came to an abrupt halt this week. I went out for a drive and the engine stalled......then the starter couldn't start it....and finally the clicking. I took out the starter and found it was fine. then i tried cranking my engine by hand with no luck. It seems that the rod berrings have melted to the crank and the rods........there goes my built engine. Yep this is shitty.......looks like the crx will be out of commission all of my senior year. any encouragement would be great to hear, this just sucks!!!!!!

Damn man that sucks. How many miles were on this built engine thats terrible luck man. If you need something or looking for anything let us know. Hell I thought all the cars here in this area broke in late spring and early summer so we could have them by fall. Don't start a new trend Vtgringo.

Damn, sucks to hear that. The ZC must not be a good platform to build a race engine, my friend's ZC/CRX (although it wasn't built) did the same thing.

That blows, wish the car was here, as I'm sure we could all diagnose it, or give a second opinion. Perhaps it was caused from the previous oil starvation/no wastegate. Maybe it was just inevitable. Don't go beating yourself though, as I have found time and time again in this world, the worst problem often can turn into the smallest thing, and you can seriously beat yourself up over a mis-diagnosis very quickly if you arent careful. Take some time, and look over everything VERY carefully, and work from there. Find out if this truly is what happened. At this point obviously you have nothing to lose, and it could even turn into a very valuable learning experience.

Thanks guys. I'm going to try and pull it apart before the summer is out to see what happened in there. as far as the engine is concerned its only a $500 engine, no huge loss there. I really hope that my pistons and rods are salvageable. When i rebuilt the engine i used the rod bearings from the old engine in the rebuild i believe that was my mistake. oh well no sense beating myself up over this......who knows maybe something good will come out of this.....b16? What sort of boost can a stock b16 handle safely?
