Thinking about trading the VR-4 in....
This is tough Jay... From a financial standpoint, I'd say a house... no question. On the other hand, your VR4 is an amazing machine that you built with your own two hands... you can't sell something like that.
It might go for more than that B.
Matt preaches the truth...
Pro's
- Debt free and then some.
- Downpayment on house. (I still rent.)
- Allows me to focus on career goals. (More money for college clases rather than VR-4 maintainence.)
- I would really rather start fresh with a better platform when the time and finances allow. THE 3000GT PLATFORM SUCKS! ... yes, I said it!
Con's
- Well, I wouldn't be able to jump in the car and go for a fun drive anytime of day or night.
- Many people have put much time into this car, not just myself.
- Debt would take longer to finish being paid due to car maintainence $$, gas, etc.
- Memories of building one of the best 3kgt's in the world.
- I'll probably be retired from the car scene for a while.

I know... I think it's more made up in my mind and I just have this mental hurdle to get over about letting it go.
And not just that, I feel bad because of all Ray/fabrik8/150 Plus's work on it.

Scenario 2... you have too much tied up in your hobby and keep making sacrifices to maintain that level of living and you never advance.
Scenario1 is short term "pain" for long term financial and career gain
Scenario 2 is short term pleasure w/ long term mediocrity.
I miss the smells that came out of your hatch! hahah squash overload. :P
I totally understand Brian... just spent the past few hours reading up on Job requirements for Gov't Project Managers. I think I need to sacrifice for now. GTM later.

Well if you do sell it, yes you will be miserable for some time afterwards there is no doubt about that. Fast forward a few years, more and more you will become comfortable with the fact that you know you made the decision you felt was best. Hang in there, I am sure that you will do what you feel is best for you.

but debt free and house would make me feel better in no time.
