Thinking about trading the VR-4 in....
I think it would be a slap in the face to all the people that have helped you for free on your car to sell it now that it's complete so that you basically make bank on it, and will be debt free with a house of your own. That's just how I feel about it when people sell their cars almost instantly after they "finish" them, when you know so many people helped them out and were probably only compensated beer/pizza/etc.
Do you see where I'm coming from?

Yea, friends help friends, I understand that completely, and I know Jay's a very generous person so I'm sure he compensated them greatly with food/whatever. The way I look at it is.... if your friends knew they were helping you build a car that you were going to sell immediately after it was finished, do you think they would have helped you in the first place? from my POV, they were probably helping you for you to have your car the way you wanted it, not so that some guy from California can come buy the car and have none of yall see it again. Plus, think about how Jay looks at the car, and feels all special in the inside like, "Damn, that's my car, we put a whole lot of work into it." I'm sure his friends that helped extensively even have a mild feeling of that in them too when they ride in it, see pictures of it, or see jay riding around in it. Get what I'm saying?
What's waiting an extra year to get a house going to do? Other than put your life on hold for a year, I mean really... it's just a year.
Plus, I think you should keep the car, it's irreplaceable.

Its not irreplaceable. He could go buy a Somalian child and love it more than the car. Its a material item, and it looks like he is moving on to bigger and better things.

jay, i was in the same situation you are in. my vote is sell the car if u can get what u want for it and invest in a house. thats the smart thing to do. I sold my dream car to buy in order to buy another property and that was a hard choice. anyways, you cant go wrong with buying a house.

RJ has been paid.
fabrik8 has been paid.
Josh (DSM 2nr) has been paid.
No one person that has helped has gone without. Every major contribution has been compensated monitarily. Beer and pizza is for helping a friend bleed lines or wax a car.
Nonetheless, in thinking about selling the car, I have definately thought about what their feelings are as they did help even though they were compensated. But, bottom line, the title to the car is in my hand and no one elses.
Anyone who knows me knows that I didn't build it to sell it.
As I said before, this will require more thought and time than will be seen in the lifetime of thread. Thanks for all of the feedback everyone.
