R12 can only be found be bought a refrigerant places, like refrigerator repair since it is not enviromentally safe and I might be wrong but I believe you need a permit/certification now to carry R12.
lane auto in fred has stock pile of r12 i have 4 cans i paid 12 bucks for em all, check out old mechanics they always have that shit stocked, but yeah it is cheap to do the conversion, but r12 def gets colder
I doubt you will find a place that won't make you bend over to get a R12 recharge. There are not that many cars left out there that run R12, plus the whole environment thing associated with R12.
well I dont think its a leak as much as just the car being a 90 with a couple hundred thousand miles on it and needing to be recharged - so if I were to convert anyone in Nova got a vacuum pump who can discharge the old and redo with 134 if i buy the conversion kit
