Don't give up hope. I got my first two reduced to speeding. I knew better than to push my luck on the third, so I got a lawyer. I just didn't want to go to jail.

Go to court without a lawyer. Explain yourself, and hope you get off. If you get hammered, appeal it, and then hire a lawyer. The second time around, the lawyer sits down with a prosecuter and tries to make a deal with them. You then go back to court, the prosecuter explains the deal to the judge, he accepts, and you go on your way. Pm me if you need a good, reasonably priced lawyer.

 

anythin gover 80 in the state of va is reckeless

Anything that is 20 miles over the speed limit is wreckless driving...you could get a wreckless driving ticket going 50 in a 25... But yeah I would reccomend what 1baditr said... i've been there too.. good luck!

The cop may have filled out the ticket wrong for all you know. I just went to court a few weeks ago for reckless driving. The cop had charged me with exceeding 20 over in a 35. I was in a 55. Without a lawyer I would never have caught that.

Also the cop had paced me; no radar. When the cop gave his testimony he failed to state the speed limit and produce the paperwork showing the last time his speedo was calibrated.

My lawyer got me off completely!
