Oh and you can't forget moon shine. I had blue berry shine the other weekend.

But in the county I live there is a lot to do, maybe not a lot of "Urban" things to do but there is a lot to do. I live 30min away from Harrisonburg (JMU), NOVA is an hour and half away. C'Ville is 45mins away.

I have lived in Big Cities (Anchorage, Alaska. Hampton, VA) just to name a few. I have lived in small towns before.

Around here people wave at you, they watch out for one another. There are few crimes. You have your typical domestics, drugs, a few murders every other year. You don't have to worry about things getting stolen. My garage doors can stay open while I am gone.

I love fishing, taking out the canoe, 4wheelin, camping. I have 8.5acres of land to use (atv trails) I have a inground pool. I have enough to keep me busy and enjoy staying at home.

I have the river with a boat access 200 yards away. If we want to enjoy city life, its not a far drive to catch a movie or eat at a nice restaurant.

I don't know maybe I am getting older but I enjoy it here and if I ever have kids I know they will grow up in a nice area. Its peaceful here. I can let fireworks off or play my music loud when I have parties outside and not have to worry about anything.

If I ever get a job in some big city I would go but I hate sitting in traffic and I hate being around the general public. People are so dumb sometimes. Not all but you see a lot more when you are in a big city. People don't care in big cities like they do in smaller towns.

My parents dogs ran away the other day and people 400 yards away that we didn't even know called to tell us they have our dogs. In the city that would never happen.


One of the only things I hate about this area is there is some white honky trash or just low scum people. Not a lot but the ones that are look like they are stuck in the 80's. But I recently went to Va.Beach and saw the same things there. So it's everywhere.

yeah dude, i went to va beach bout month and half ago...EWWW YOOO...we did stay in a shitty hotel for $$ reasons....but shit...we payed and stayed for 4hrs, and came back home, the hotel was taken over by people selling weed and crack...wtf...i got to talk to this dude that was like 18 about cars...then his boys walked up, next thing yo uknow, our hotel room has about 7 people in it, i have no clue who they are...and they telling us about the ATF jsut ran into our room the night before , cause they were selling crack out of it, and then few mins lata knock knock knock at the door...some crack hoe lookn for crack...they was like, nah goto room # such and such he down there now an shit....yo i was freaked out..i never knew VA had so many crack heads...that made my trip to va VERY bad...like i said...we stayed for 4 hours tops, and drove 3.5hr trip back home. we just cuoldnt take all the low life trash down there...i mean weed is one thing....but fuckin crack heads, NEAHHH aint fuckin wit it.

 

You get that everywhere though. I mean in bigger cities you see more of it and more out in the open because it is hard for the police to watch everything. But around here you don't usually see anything like that out in public.

I have a really good friend that works the drug task force for the county sheriff dept. here and I hear about a lot of things. He was in on the bust in my old neighborhood a month ago. You would never of known these people were growing weed plants in their house. They never caused any trouble and looked like your normal middle class American. Next thing we see is 8 undercover cars pull up.

But you do see more of this low life activity in bigger cities because you have a bigger variety of people.

my enter key broken? guessing you talking about the ugh door in hotel? no the key wasnt, but you didnt need a key to get in, the guys that came in the room showed us how to get in without the key...cause all there was, was a 1/2inch piece of wood that was nailed to door casing...( usually where the metal sticks in from deadbolt to keep people out) but yeah all there was, 1/2 piece of wood holding that back..lol...and where there used to be another lock, it was just a hole, with a piece of duct tape over it...GHETTTOOOOO....$40 a night...what can u expect? oh it was possed to me $50 a night, but the heater was broken...who needs a heater in spring/summer?
