or an accord haha.

a lot of you might be happy to know that i'm eventually going out of STS. not soon, but sooner or later. after i get my tires (choice is a story in it self) my next major mods will be a flywheel and LSD. why? to start preparing the car for ECHC. all of this is of course, after i find a good job (just graduated) and get another car (probably a GSR for the street). anyways, i'd be in FSP, but don't celebrate just yet! you know i always bring da skillzzz.

Getting a little bit cocky aren't we Dave ?

If you want to have a humbling experience you should come with me to a few DC Region SCCA events .

Oh, and since we place so much emphasis on PAX here locally (which is NOT the case when you go to National events or even big events like at DC or even VMSC) you will really miss that STS PAX .......

once i move out of STS, i will not care competively in autox. autox is a just a step on the way to road racing. the ECHC kinda screwed up my plans as i was thinking about getting R-compounds, but now Toyo is going to provide the tire next year. oh well. i'm still going w/ the azenis so i will be in STS for a while.

Dave, you need a competition license before you can compete in ECHC. That takes time. Unless of course you do one of those competition schools that cost big money but give you a license in 3-5 days I think. Let us know what you decide to do.

You say that now but once you start to not do as well in your class and overall I think you will be singing a different tune. NOBODY likes to do worse .....

In any event, good luck in whatever you decide to do. But you may want to consider going against better competition before you make that "jump."

In the last year or so I have become a better driver and my times here locally have shown it (especially when I started to beat Jerry more often !!! Sorry Jerry, I had to put that in there .). But when I went to the big show (or as close to the big show as I will get for now) at the National Tour in DC, it was a VERY humbling experience. Instead of having one guy beat me up pretty badly in class locally (i.e. Ron Katona), I had several guys beat up on me pretty badly (i.e. Ron Katona level drivers x 6). I learned more getting my butt kicked that weekend (and got faster as a result) than I have in auto-x in a while. Hell, the last time I went up against Ron I was the closest to him as I have ever been, and I still have more to learn and more experience to gain.

I guess the point I am making is that you should go up against some better competition than we have here locally (at least in STS) to see where you really stand.

Oh and I am not saying there is not any competition locally because there are still some guys who can kick my butt, but I plan on catching them too !!! (a little bit of cockiness never hurts )

i know. i've done my research, plus i talk to beno quite a bit, since he's going through the licensing process right now.

basically, what i'm saying is, soon here i'm going to start preparing the accord for ECHC. i'm not going to start racing in the ECHC like immediately. but once i start prepping the car, and going to HPDE's. autox results will be the least of my worries.

but as for right now.......Bring It. Team Grocery REPRESENT!!!! hehehe

oh, and for those who say why the accord? well, you all know how well it handles. it has an advantage in cornering due to it's wide wheel base over civic's and teg's. plus there is a guy on another board who is in Class 3 of 3 of the licensing process, and he says that the accords keeps up w/ the competition and handles beautifully. there is also another guy who just started his licensing. by the time i get there, they will be 3 or 4 accords in the ECHC, and hopefully one of them will be kicking some ass

Does it involve air being forced into your motor by some sort of induction device?

Hmmm....

Well there is only one single mod left for your car that would be in that price range. I guess I will have to start gathering some intelligence ........

Will the "secret weapon" be ready by this Sunday?
